1. Acceptance
These Terms govern use of the Drug Dose mobile application and website (the “Services”), provided by Dr Santanu Ghosh. By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
2. Intended users
Drug Dose is intended for qualified healthcare professionals and medical trainees acting within their competence and, where applicable, under supervision. It is not intended for patients, parents or caregivers to select medicines, calculate their own treatment, or self-medicate.
3. Medical disclaimer
Drug Dose is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition. It is a clinical reference and educational tool. It does not replace professional judgment, a complete clinical assessment, manufacturer prescribing information, a current authoritative formulary, pharmacy review, institutional policy or emergency services.
Before acting on any value shown in the App, the user must independently verify:
- the patient’s identity, current measured weight, age, allergy status and clinical condition;
- the medicine, indication, formulation, concentration, route, interval and maximum dose;
- renal, hepatic, neonatal, interaction and contraindication considerations;
- all calculations, dilutions and infusion-device programming;
- the most current local protocol and authoritative medicine information.
If displayed information conflicts with a current formulary, manufacturer label, pharmacist instruction or local policy, the current authoritative source takes precedence.
4. Clinical content and availability
We aim to provide useful, carefully prepared material, but clinical knowledge, recommendations, formulations and product availability change. We do not promise that content is complete, error-free, appropriate for every jurisdiction, or current at every moment. Some content—including brand information and immunisation material—may be region-specific.
The Services may be changed, corrected, suspended or discontinued without notice. Features may differ between website, testing and production builds.
5. Third-party links
The App may offer optional links to PubMed, search engines or third-party AI services. We do not endorse or control their content, availability, output, security or privacy practices. Do not submit confidential or directly identifying patient information to a third-party service. Third-party output must never be treated as a verified clinical instruction.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Services, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with operation, extract or redistribute protected content unlawfully, misrepresent the App as a regulated medical device, or use it to facilitate unsafe, illegal or unlicensed clinical practice.
7. Intellectual property
The Drug Dose name, interface, original text, graphics and software are owned by or licensed to the provider, subject to the rights of cited authors, publishers and third parties. These Terms give you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive right to use the Services for their intended purpose. They do not transfer ownership.
8. No warranty and limitation of liability
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available”, to the extent permitted by law. We disclaim implied warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Clinical decisions remain the responsibility of the treating professional.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive loss, or for loss arising from reliance on the Services, calculation or transcription error, outdated content, device failure, network failure or third-party content. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
9. Changes
We may revise these Terms. The current version will be posted here with an updated effective date. Continued use after a revision means acceptance of the updated Terms.
